Facebook-Specific Data Deletion Instructions

Step 1: Access Facebook Settings

1. Log in to your Facebook account.
2. Click on the downward-facing arrow in the top right corner of the Facebook page.
3. Select “Settings & Privacy” from the dropdown menu.
4. Click on “Settings”.

Step 2: Navigate to Your Facebook Information

1. In the left-hand column, click on “Your Facebook Information”.
2. You will see several options related to your data.

Step 3: Download Your Information (Optional)

1. If you want to keep a copy of your data before deletion, click on “Download Your Information”.
2. Select the data you want to download and choose the format and date range.
3. Click on “Create File” and wait for Facebook to prepare your download.

Step 4: Delete Your Information

1. Click on “Deactivation and Deletion”.
2. Choose “Delete Account” and click on “Continue to Account Deletion”.
3. You will be prompted to download your information or manage your apps if needed.
4. Click on “Delete Account”.

Step 5: Confirm Deletion

1. Enter your password to confirm the deletion.
2. Click on “Continue”.
3. Finally, click on “Delete Account”.

Note: Your account will be deactivated for 30 days before being permanently deleted. If you log in during this period, you can cancel the deletion request.
